This study was conducted at the Crop Science Experimental Area of the College of Agriculture, JH Cerilles State College-Dumingag

Campus, Dapiwak, Dumingag Zamboanga del Sur from November 22, 2010 to February 20, 2011 to determine the effect of decapitation on the yield of eggplant at different frequency. The treatments are as follows:
Treatment 1 –zero decapitation
Treatment 2- decapitated once (4 WAT)
Treatment 3- decapitated twice (2 and 4 WAT
Treatment 4- decapitated twice (3 and 5 WAT)
Treatment 5- decapitated twice (4 and 6 WAT)
Treatment 6- decapitated thrice (2, 4 and 6 WAT)
The results revealed that frequency of decapitation affects the growth and development of eggplant and those decapitated thrice significantly produced the most number of branches and give the highest yield of fruits.

Objectives:

1. To determine the effect of decapitation on the yield of eggplant at different frequency.

Methods:

Experimental Method
Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD)

Findings and Results:

1. The results revealed that frequency of decapitation affects the growth and development of eggplant and those decapitated thrice significantly produced the most number of branches and give the highest yield of fruits.
