Abstract:

??The study was conducted at Jose Rizal Memorial State College, Katipunan, Sanao Extension Campus, Zamboanga del Norte, from October 18 to February 14, 2008 covering a period of 3 month. A total area of 289 square meters was used in the study. It was throughly plowed and harrowed to make it suitable for planting. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in the study. It consisted of five treatments namely: T1 =2tons/ha. of sheep manure, T2 = 4tons/ha. of sheep manure, T3 = 6tons/ha. of sheep manure, T4 = 8tons/ha. of sheep manure and To = control.

Objectives:

1. To determine the effects of different levels of sheep manure on the growth and yield of Napier

 2. To determine the cost of production during the conduct of experiment using sheep manure.

Methods:

Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD)

Findings and Results:

1. The use of sheep manure as fertilizer at the rate of merely 2 tons/ha for a better maximum production of Napier since an increase in the use of manure didn't help augment its production.

 2. A follow-up study exploring the use of sheep manure as fertilizer after the first harvest.

Conclusion:

The use of sheep manure is beneficial for the production of Napier which is worthy of duplicating among ruminant animals growers. Significantly the effect of sheep manure at 45 days at all rates was influenced on the height of Napier.
